4 Questions with Georgia High School Scoreboard Show Host Chris Mooneyham

2. Who are the best interviewees you’ve had on the show? “You can never go wrong with GHSA Executive Director Dr Robin Hines. He’s a straight shooter, a genuine guy who really cares about the state of Georgia and our young athletes. We have a running joke with Dr. Hines about his love of the guitar. He spilled the beans one night on how, in his youth, he was in a few pretty talented bands. And yes, he says he still plays quite often. Alan Chadwick, head coach of Marist, is one of my favourites. During the public-private feud last season, he expressed his displeasure with the way things were being approached from both sides. He was very impartial in understanding the challenges and differences between the two parties. Finally, if you need someone to bring the hammer to an interview, look no further than Maurice Freeman of Brooks County. Coach Freeman brings honesty and energy.

3. Your 680 the Fan preseason rankings poll was the only one with Grayson No. 1. What do you like about the Rams? And is there another team or two that is particularly intriguing? “The team that won the rest of the top places in the various polls was Buford, and for good reason. For me the two were 1A and 1B. If there’s one team that can match Wolves across the board in the grand combination of athleticism, physique, experience and depth, it’s Grayson. The Rams will feature at least four four-star players – Michael Daugherty, Waltclaire Flynn, Zion Ferguson and Kylan Fox – and a running back ready to explode on the state stage, Joe Taylor Jr., and the program record in a single season. -starting tackle, senior Jaylen Smith. A few sleepers I like, for a possible quarter-final appearance, would include Parkview, Troup and Mary Persons.
