Binance, the blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, has sponsored the biggest comedy show in Kenya, in conjunction with Laugh Industry, as it continues its mission to drive mainstream adoption of the crypto in Africa.

The show was held on June 4, 2022 at the Mombasa Beach Hotel with over 3,500 attendees attending the event. The show included comedy sketches, music and dance performances by local artists, and speeches.

During the show, Binance representatives also interacted with the audience. Participants were instructed on safe practices when handling cryptocurrencies to avoid scams.

The keynote, which was led by George Mwakisha, Head of Business Development for East Africa at Binance, aimed to ensure that crypto enthusiasts were well equipped with knowledge about opportunities and security within the industry. .

“Blockchain education is central to our goal in the global marketplace. As a blockchain infrastructure provider, we are committed to ensuring that more and more people have access to the right information about how the ecosystem works. Africa is a very important market for Binance as we see the profound opportunity blockchain brings to the entire continent,” said George Mwakisha.

As part of its mission to drive blockchain adoption and enable greater access to financial services, Binance is continuously providing free crypto education to Africans – on topics ranging from protecting users to building a career in blockchain.

Ahead of the comedy show, Binance activated a 3-day roadshow, which included giveaways, as it strengthened its connection with offline audiences across the continent.
