Disney World adds MORE time for a popular show
Disney guests were ecstatic when they found out the Lion King Festival was returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Currently operating in a slightly modified version called A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King, this fan-favorite show made its return on May 15 and has hosted guests again since.
However, we have some great news to share regarding A Lion King Festival Celebration, as we just found out that more performance times have been added for this live entertainment offering!
Currently, guests can attend a Lion King Festival celebration at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m., as seen in the capture. screen below.
However, at the end of the month, the theme park adds more hours of shows so that guests have even more opportunities to witness this amazing show!
Starting Saturday, July 31, a Lion King Day celebration will be broadcast at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. pm and 5:00 pm, as shown in the screenshot below.
The two new times that have been added to A Celebration of the Lion King Festival are 9:30 am and 2:00 pm. If you’re planning on visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the near future to catch this fan-favorite show, be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for the most recent times.

âA Lion King’s Day Celebrationâ will be presented in a modified format to reflect the current environment. Adjustments to the show were made on stage and behind the scenes, including choreography updates and a temporary hiatus from certain elements of the show to allow for appropriate physical distancing.
Places will be limited for the show and are not guaranteed with entry to the park. Guests should check the My Disney Experience app, the advice boards in the park, or speak to a cast member at the Harambe Theater for information on the show’s queue and availability, which is subject to change. .
