In a statement to Weekly entertainment On Sunday January 2, Lopez’s rep confirmed he was recovering from the flu and was not taken in an ambulance after abruptly ending his comedy show.

Georges lopez canceled the remainder of his New Years comedy performance after apparently falling ill.

The comedian, 60, was playing a set on Friday, Dec.31 at the Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Washington before remarking he wasn’t feeling very well, according to eyewitnesses from TMZ.

After playing his set for about 30 minutes, eyewitnesses noticed that Lopez started to sweat and ask for water. “You could tell something was wrong, but it wasn’t clear what was wrong,” a point-of-sale attendee said, before noting that the host of the “OMG Hi” podcast was was apologized to the audience and left the stage. TMZ also reported that an ambulance was seen outside the Auburn, Wash. Site, but it is not clear if Lopez had used it.

While Lopez has yet to publicly discuss his alleged illness, the casino tweeted that the remainder of the morning show and his evening performance have been canceled.

“It is with our sincere apologies that we must announce the cancellation of the performance tonight at 8 pm by George Lopez. Please contact your point of sale for refund information ”, their Twitter page written Friday.

While Lopez has remained silent about her alleged injuries and illness, he previously paid a heartfelt tribute to Betty White, who died hours earlier on Friday.

“You know you are loved when the whole world feels 99 is not enough. Your light is too bright to be dimmed. Thank you for the years of laughter and comedic genius, you will be sorely missed. ??,” the George Lopez Show alum wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside a clip of the pair.

After paying homage to the fire Daddy’s Girls actress, Lopez shared her best wishes for the new year.

“Marked safe from 2021 today,” he shared via Instagram Story on Saturday, Jan. 1. In another slide he wrote, “Celebrate the little wins” alongside another Happy New Year message.

While further details are unknown about Lopez’s disease and other performances, he was scheduled to perform later this month at the Mirage in Las Vegas during its “Aces of Comedy” lineup.

“The Mirage Hotel & Casino today announced more than 40 performances for the 2022 Aces of Comedy series. The actors who will take the stage at the Mirage Theater include George Lopez, Daniel Tosh, Bill Maher, Ray Romano and David Spade, Bob Marley, Jim Jefferies, Kathleen Madigan and Iliza Shlesinger,” a declaration for the venue read in October 2021, before noting that Lopez would headline the shows on January 28 and 29. It is also expected to occur later this year in June and September.
