Holly Willoughby announced as host of new BBC entertainment show
Holly Willoughby landed a brand new show on the BBC.
The This morning the host teams up with Do not exitis Lee Mack for The survival of Wim Hof’s superstar.
The show will feature a group of ‘soul-seeking celebrities’ as they journey through some of Europe’s toughest conditions for death-defying challenges.
Tasks are set to challenge their mental strength in order to challenge their demons.
Speaking about the new show, Holly said, “I can’t wait to team up with Lee and Wim on this show.
“Lee is a favorite in our house because he’s so funny and I’ve been a fan of Wim for a long time – he’s a genius who is incredibly passionate about helping others.
“This show is going to be brilliantly entertaining and you never know … you might also discover things that could help you along the way.”
Lee added: “My passions in life are Wim Hof, watching This morning in my underwear, subzero temperatures, watching celebrities sitting in cold water and free hotels.
“But trying to find a show that combined these elements was tricky. Eventually, I found one.”
Wim Hof is well known for his extreme athleticism, including running a half marathon over the Arctic Circle barefoot and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in shorts and shoes.
He added, “I have dedicated my life to finding out how to become happier, healthier and stronger, and whatever I can do, you can do that too.
“It is a dream come true to do this show with the BBC and to share what I have learned with millions of people.
“I am going to show this group of celebrities that the cold is a door to their soul and if they use the power of their mind, anything is possible.”
The six-part series will air on BBC One with a spin-off show on BBC Three focusing on the behind-the-scenes drama.
The celebrities have yet to be announced.
