Indian talk show host, Simi Garewal talks about Imran Khan

Indian talk show host Simi Garewal has opened up on the ousting of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. She was one of millions of people who reacted to her ouster on social media.

International personalities and celebrities had also reacted to his ousting. Simi Garewal wrote a short note on his Twitter expressing his views on him. She said Imran Khan was an honest man and corruption could not be one of his faults. Simi Garewal, 74, has known Imran Khan for 40 years.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan appeared on his show for an interview in 2006. 2 Politics is no place for idealists. (I have known Imran for 40 years and idealism is at its core). He may have other flaws but corruption is not one of them,” Simi Garewal said in his tweet.

According to her, Imran Khan is an idealist, and even a popular prime minister can be removed from office by a movement of censure.

Ben Goldsmith’s support for Imran Khan

Ben Goldsmith, brother of Imran Khan’s first wife, Jemima Goldsmith, also showed his support. Ben Goldsmith is a British financier and environmentalist. Goldsmith said Imran Khan was a good man with a pure intention to serve his country.

“My brother-in-law @ImranKhanPTI is a good and honorable man, driven only by a strong desire to do good for his country. His record as Prime Minister is exceptional, especially on the biggest issue of our times: Pakistan under Imran is now a global leader in environmental restoration,” Ben Goldsmith said in a Twitter post.

A massive reaction swept through Pakistan after his removal from office. Incredible images of people expressing their solidarity in large numbers have been circulating on social media. Meanwhile, #امپورٹڈ_حکومت_نامنظور is leading with almost 6 million tweets so far on Twitter. The trend was initiated to stage strong disapproval of the new government.
