James Corden is the latest American television talk show host to test positive for coronavirus.

Telling the news online, The Late Late Show host said he felt “completely fine” but that the show would be on hiatus for several days.

“I just tested positive for covid 19,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I am fully vaccinated, boosted and because of that, I have the chance to say that I feel perfectly well.

“The show will no longer be broadcast for a few days.

“Stay safe everyone. All my love, James x”

It comes as several other popular shows were canceled briefly after their hosts tested positive.

Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC was canceled for several days after Meyers, 48, tweeted the news.

“The bad news is that I tested positive for Covid (thank you 2022!), The good news is that I feel good (thank you for the vaccines and the booster!)”, He said writing.

“We’re canceling the rest of the shows this week, so tune in next Monday to see what a cool place we’ll try to pass off as a studio !!!”

Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon said he was “lucky” to have only experienced mild symptoms after testing positive for coronavirus on the first day of his Christmas vacation, and thanked staff and its producers for “taking the test protocols seriously”.

Whoopi Goldberg also missed The View’s first episode of the year due to testing positive, although co-host Joy Behar assured fans that Goldberg’s symptoms were “very, very mild.”
