Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center to host Catholic comedy show
Local actor Dave Kane will present his one-man comedy show “Misgivings,” an exploration of stories and lines about growing up Catholic, at 7:30 p.m. on October 22 at the Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center, 1 School St. , Foxborough.
This interactive comedy night includes a collection, a raffle and a game of Bingo.
“What a delightful afternoon spent with Dave Kane, well known for his one-man show ‘Misgivings’ featuring the character of Father Patrick Aloysius Misgivings, an Irish Catholic priest,” said Christine Jackel, Development Coordinator, Catholic Charities of Norwich, Connecticut. “Dave traveled to our Diocese of Norwich, sharing his perspective on growing up Catholic. His stories and the way he tells them made everyone laugh.
“As a priest I enjoyed your presentation, you did well and your stories were so right,” said Father Edward C. McDonagh, St. Ann’s, West Bridgewater. “The comments I received afterwards were very enthusiastic, as you can see from the laughter you generated in the group. So thank you for giving us an entertaining and joyful afternoon. Thank you very much for your generosity of time and talent and for helping us not to take the Church so seriously that we cannot laugh, allowing through our laughter God to put His arms around us. ”
