RJ Balaji brings back popular show Crosstalk to promote Veetla Vishesham

Ahead of the film’s release, actor Balaji relaunched his popular prank show “Crosstalk” to promote the film, which will be released on June 17.

Radio Jockey turned actor Balaji is preparing for the release of his next film Veetla Vishesham which is slated for release on June 17. Ahead of its release, actor Balaji revived his popular prank show “Crosstalk” to promote the film. In Crosstalk, which aired on 92.7 Big FM, Balaji took suggestions and contact details from listeners for his phone pranks.

His next movie Veetla Visheshamwhich is co-directed by him with NJ Saravanan, is the Hindi film remake Badhaai Ho. It revolves around a couple’s unplanned pregnancy in their late 40s or early 50s. The film shows how the couple, their sons, family members and friends react to the pregnancy. In the farce that RJ Balaji was part of At Veetla Vishesham promotions, he called the children of a few men who are in their early 50s. As part of the prank that eerily resembles the plot of the next film,

Balaji introduces himself as a doctor and informs their sons and daughters of their parents’ unplanned pregnancies.

The prank video documents how the recipients reacted to the news. The film along with the prank call aims to eliminate the stigma surrounding discussions of sex life and reproductive health for older couples. Most call participants express disappointment in their parents, or blame their parents rather than identifying that it is the choice of the couple in question. However, a few participants congratulated their parents on the news and advised them not to take other people’s opinions into account.
