In a tweet, The late show shared Stephen Colbert’s segment in the talk show where he talked about Apple TV+. While giving a nod to Apple’s many Emmy nominations this year, Colbert made sure to take some shots at Cupertino and the streaming service.

“When I come home from a long day of watching TV, there’s nothing I love more than sitting in front of the TV,” Colbert joked. “One of my favorite shows is Breakup [. . .] a series on Apple TV+ that is, and please stay with me here, no Ted Lasso”. Colbert also cheekily stated that Cupertino now has as many award nominations as string types.

(For the record, Thunderbolt cables have many uses.)

In addition to mentioning Severance pay 14 Emmy nominations, Colbert also said he was once on the show. Colbert said, “The only thing I don’t like about Breakup is that I was originally going to be in it. But for some reason, all of my scenes were left on the cutting room floor.

‘Severance’ Season 2

According to the “deleted scenes”, Colbert does his best to turn Lumon into Dunder Mifflin, under the pretext that Steven C. must surely be Steve Carell in the outside world. Hilariously, Steve C. then incurs the ire of Irving’s John Turturro, who becomes the primary target of Steve C.’s antics.

In terms of Breakup, the show will see a second season, with the news having already arrived in April. The series is no stranger to unique promotions, as Breakup produced a rather realistic LinkedIn page for Lumon to help promote the show. In addition, Breakup also had an interactive experience where individuals could spend the day as a Lumon employee experiencing their first day. The experiment took place at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Currently, there is no release date for season 2 of Breakup.
