For many years, F1 fans craved more excitement, tighter battles and drama. And in 2021, their wishes were granted, to the point that shockwaves were felt far beyond the sport itself. And recently, famous talk show host and comedian Trevor Noah also spoke about what happened at the Yas Marina circuit.

On The Daily Show, Noah explained how F1’s LeBron James Lewis Hamilton was defeated under controversial circumstances. In order to make it more understandable to his audience, Noah used the NFL as an analogy for the events of this race.

“I don’t think there are other sports where this happens” said Noah.

“Like you never see an NFL game, where for a few minutes the referee lets only the losing team score.”

Many notable names felt Lewis Hamilton had the title stolen

Lewis Hamilton’s future teammate and compatriot George Russell immediately shared his thoughts on Twitter after the race. Pilot Williams wrote, “THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!”

Another Briton, Piers Morgan, said: “I don’t know what I just watched, but it can’t be right. Hamilton has been broken into.

Susie Wolff posted a statement on her Twitter that read: “What happened is still hard to understand and leaves me feeling uneasy. Not the Losers – and not Max or Red Bull – they are deserving winners and we always knew there was a strong possibility that we weren’t. we weren’t winning.
